The Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau is excited to welcome the Association of Science - Technology Centers to the beautiful Capital City of Hartford for your 2018 Annual Conference! 

Please take the time to learn more about Hartford and the ASTC conference venues, including the Connecticut Convention Center, your preferred hotels, and your hosts at the Connecticut Science Center. Plus, check out the Hartford restaurants, special events, local and statewide attractions and more available to you while you are in the state's capital city.

Here are a few pointers to help get you oriented:

• The Connecticut Convention Center and the Connecticut Science Center are located right in downtown Hartford off Interstates 91 and 84, just minutes from the Bradley International Airport and alongside the majestic Connecticut River. The Riverfront area is a beautiful backdrop in the autumn season with a number of outdoor activities and events, such as the Riverfront Regatta happening while you are in town!
• The Downtown area is only about a six-block radius between the convention district and Union Station (Amtrak and bus), en route you'll find a great variety of restaurants and the bar scene, check out Hartford.com. Directly across from your convention activities is Front Street District with plenty to keep you busy, fed and entertained.
• Some special downtown Hartford attractions, in addition to the Connecticut Science Center, are the Wadsworth Atheneum (the oldest continually operating public art museum in the United States), the Hartford Yard Goats baseball stadium, the XL Center hosting concerts, consumer shows and sports events including minor league hockey and college basketball. Plus, Hartford has two beautiful public golf courses, and one of the country's largest city center parks, Bushnell Park featuring a 1914 vintage carousel. On the west side of town, you'll find the Mark Twain House & the Harriet Beecher Stowe Center en route to Blue Back Square shopping and dining in West Hartford Center.
