Architectural Digest reports:

Get ready to pack your bags because 2022 will bring a host of high design hotels all around the world. From an intimate hotel in an 18th-century villa on Lake Como, Italy, to the rebirth of a brutalist building by Marcel Breuer in New Haven, Connecticut, these are the hotels we can’t wait to check into.

Hotel Marcel

Named for Marcel Breuer, the architect of the original 1970 building in which it’s housed, this groundbreaking hotel will be the first net-zero and passive house certified hotel in the U.S. Part of Hilton’s Tapestry Collection, the hotel will give new life to Breuer’s landmarked Pirelli building in New Haven, which lay vacant for decades. Dutch East Design has been enlisted to soften up the Brutalist architecture with warm earth tones and rich textures for the interiors. There will be 165 rooms and suites, a new American restaurant, and an art program highlighting female artists with a nod to the Bauhaus movement. Opening April 2022; hotelmarcel.com
