Testimonials

“Our entire Mohegan Sun team went over and above to WOW all levels of this complicated event, the Miss America competition, and the feedback is that all involved had a great experience. We can’t say enough about Susan Henrique’s efforts to assist, she was fantastic. It was a great event for Connecticut, and I am confident all boats will rise from this national/international exposure.”

"From creating a micro-site with a plethora of information for attendees, to sending over suggestions for restaurants, to helping with getting leads for transportation, everyone with the Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau had been very helpful in equipping me as the conference manager efficiently planned our event, kept our staff updated, and promoted the meeting with valuable ideas for our attendees."

“I have worked with the Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau for many years. They are not just a service to my business but an extension of my business. They have always viewed what I do as every bit as important as any other work they do and have always gone the extra mile to help me achieve success.”

“The University of Connecticut secured the 2019 NCAA DI Men’s Basketball First and Second Round at the XL Center in Hartford, in large part due to our strong partnership with Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau. Starting with the March Madness bidding process through the execution of the event, the CTCSB’s Bob Murdock and his team was beside us all the way for over three years. This included outreach to State and local officials and business leaders for letters of support, to RFPs for a dozen hotels, to assistance with NCAA requirements and contracts, to communication with media and area businesses about many fan activities. While UCONN works with the CTCSB on events of all sizes, this one was certainly a “slam dunk” for us.”

"The Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau team is a great resource. Their expertise helps our sales staff better understand and grow new markets and how to best work with them."

“Thank you for collaborating with Source interpreting for your training needs for area restaurants prior to the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) conference in July 2018.  This was a most unconventional approach the Connecticut Convention & Sports Center embarked upon to be sure that the experience restaurants had would be positive for so many Deaf / Deaf Blind individuals coming to Hartford.

During our time at the NAD conference, we visited the area restaurants and experienced firsthand the changes that were made. The various suggestions that we made to reduce stress for employees, while making it easier for communication, were in place. The great bonus to providing this training is that it will continue to be beneficial for the Deaf / Deaf Blind community right here in Hartford.”
