Meeting Professionals International (MPI) has awarded its Connecticut River Valley chapter (MPI CRV) with a 2018 Chapter Merit Award for Overall Excellence - one of only four chapters in entire the U.S. and Canada to receive this recognition!

MPI is the largest meeting and event industry association worldwide. With more than 90 MPI chapters and clubs in 19 countries, this truly is a prestigious honor for MPI professionals in our Connecticut and Massachusetts regional chapter. The global MPI Chapter Recognition Program is designed to acknowledge superior chapter performance based on objectively measured results for consistent delivery of quality services to members. The award was presented to our leadership during this month's Chapter event, The Meeting Professional's Duty of Care, held at MGM Springfield in Springfield, Mass.

"I can personally attest to the high quality of achievement of the MPI CRV chapter, having participated in its events for past year and a half, as well as with other Connecticut and NY chapters," explains Susan Koczka, the Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau's Director of National Accounts - Associations/Corporate. "Based upon the quality of MPI CRVs education, engaging networking events, and warm welcome from its leadership, as well as their refreshing enthusiasm for the industry, I decided to rejoin MPI with my primary chapter being the CRV, and encourage other industry professions to take advantage of its resources."

Established in 1982, MPI's Connecticut River Valley empowers its 100+ members to increase their strategic value with top-notch education, professional development and business growth opportunities. For more information about the chapter, visit www.mpiweb.org/crv.
